I have been thinking a lot about newness.
Fashion always asks us what is new.
A new season. A new shape. A new thing to want.
But I am not sure that new should always be the point.
When we started No44, we wanted to make jeans you wouldn’t think of throwing away. Jeans you could wear for years, season after season .
Pieces that become familiar, that soften with time, that somehow become more yours the more you wear them.
So FOR GOOD is about that.
Not creating something new just for the sake of being new.
It is about making something good enough to stay.
A silhouette you love now and still want to wear seasons from now.
A pair of jeans you can wear again and again without thinking about whether it is still “in”.
Because when you find that jean, you don’t need to replace it.
You just keep wearing it.
And maybe that is what good design means to us.
Made to wear.
Made to last.
Made for good.
I hope some of these pieces become the ones you keep reaching for.
The ones that stay in your wardrobe.
And, eventually, become part of your story.
